An Overview

Perlane is a Hyaluronic Acid dermal filler that’s very similar to Restylane. The main difference between Restylane and Perlane is that Perlane lasts a little longer before it’s absorbed back into the body. Hyaluronic Acid is found naturally in humans, and is a major component in our tissue repair and skin growth. Restylane and Perlane are synthetic gel forms of Hyaluronic Acid and can be used to treat wrinkle folds and enhance lips.

Since Perlane is not derived from any animal, unlike Collagen (bovine-based), Perlane does not require testing for allergic reaction. Perlane can safely add volume to any area of the face or body, and is often used to make lips a little fuller. Perlane can be utilized to fill in lines and wrinkles around the mouth, eyes, and forehead. Because Perlane is composed of the substance that sustains skin and gives cells their life, it is the ideal filler for wrinkles that may be depleted of precious Hyaluronic Acid.

Perlane injections should take no longer than 30 minutes to perform.

Perlane Side Effects:

Perlane's Side effects include redness, swelling, and bruising. These conditions are not serious and should go away in about 3-7 days.

Length of Perlane Results:

Perlane is a fairly long lasting injectable. Perlane should last anywhere from 6-12 months. As with Restylane, lip augmentation results might not last as long as other facial areas.
