Exilis Body Contouring System Review
by Trudi Schrieber
If you’re tired of trying to get rid of those few extra pounds, droopy skin, or cellulite, but plastic surgery doesn’t interest you, or if you’ve had liposuction surgery and want to smooth transition areas, you might consider a body contouring system. Body contouring systems help smooth out the contours of your body and improve your figure by reshaping fat deposits. Exilis is a popular body contouring system that uses non-invasive, radio frequency energy to target and break down fat deposits. Exilis has proven highly effect for many individuals. Plus, Exilis body contouring is non-invasive, so it is very safe.
How does Exilis work?
The body’s fat cells form in clustered lobules, which are wrapped in a layer of fibrous tissue which holds them in place. This fibrous tissue makes it difficult to reach and destroy the fat cells. During liposuction, a specialized cannula is actually inserted through the fibrous tissue and sucks the fat cells out. The Exilis system is able to move the fat lobules out of this shell of fibrous tissue and cause them to shrink by using the heat of the Exilis radio frequency energy. The shrinking of these fat lobules results in smoother body contouring and cellulite reduction.
How many Exilis treatments do I need?
The number of Exilis treatments needed for best results will vary depending on your body, the amount of fat lobules in the area to be treated, and the number of areas treated. Most individuals will begin to notice a difference after one or two treatments, and for many people, maximum results can be reached in four to five sessions.
Exilis treatments are scheduled every one to two weeks, and each treatment usually requires only about 30 minutes to complete. The best part is that Exilis requires no down time, so you can immediately return to your daily activities after treatment. In fact, patients are encouraged to be active following each treatment, to ensure that the increased metabolic exchange stimulated by the Exilis treatment stays high.
What results can I expect to see?
Most clients are extremely satisfied with Exilis treatments. Patients can lose anywhere from one to five inches of volume after a full round of four to five treatments. Exilis is great at reducing fat in a specific area. Patients will also notice their skin has better tone, elasticity, and texture in only a couple of sessions. This is because the radiofrequency energy also promotes the activity of fibroblast cells, which produce collagen.
Does Exilis hurt?
No. Exilis energy will cause a warm sensation, but not a hot one. A cooling device keeps the area from getting too warm.
How much does Exilis cost?
Cost will vary from one person to the next, depending on the size of the area being treated, the number of areas being treated, and the number of sessions required. Additionally, prices vary based on geography and doctor.
